This is quite a cold week, so I decided to go indoors to check out the new poinsettia display at the Park Conservatory.
Temp -27°C feels like -40°C with the wind chill.
Outside view of the Park Conservatory.
The larger turtle is a female, the smaller is a male. He was in her face the whole time not giving her a moments rest.
Beautiful display of poinsettias. I believe the tree will be decorated closer to Christmas.
A close up of one of the light pink poinsettias.
I really liked the look of these.
Another close up shot.
This years poinsettia tree.
Center piece of the poinsettia room.
A nice thing about the conservatory is all the benches that you can relax in.
Back in the tropical house he was still pestering her.
Fish pond is good and full.
The papaya fruit tree is starting to get some fruit on it.
Hobbit house is starting to look a little over grown.
Guess why they call this tree a strangler fig. The next photo should help.
Can you figure it out now?
It’s neat how this flower grows.
In the lobby the Parks newsletter and paper were available to whoever wanted one.
This one lone giraffe was standing in the corner all by himself. I think it was so he could get some sun. The flowers on him are real.
Not much as far as art this week in the lobby.
Only these two vintage photos of the park this week in the lobby.
That is all for this week hopefully next week won’t be as cold as this week was.
